Gather Men

We desire to see the glory of God displayed within men who Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.

At Northern Hills Baptist church we believe that biblical manhood is characterized by those who walk humbly with Christ by aiming to sacrificially serve the church, their wives, and their children. We desire to see men lead in faithfulness within their family and workplace. These men do this by prioritizing prayer at church and at home, seeking to sacrificially serve their church and family, and advancing the kingdom through Christ-centered discipleship both at home and in the church. Through this we hope to see men who seek Christ first, lead their homes with a servant’s heart, and share the Gospel.

Biblical Man Meeting –

Will be this coming Monday, March 23 at 7 PM.   We had 25 attend last month – hoping for more this Monday.  Focus will be on raising kids and the father’s role biblically. This is from Chapter 3 and 4 from the Man Up book.  Matt Kirkpatrick be our key facilitator for these chapters.

Truman Lake Men’s Retreat –

June 25-28 will be the dates for our retreat.  We have a 5 bedroom house and a large cabin reserved for these dates.  The location is next to Truman State Park and Near Truman State Marina.  We have 7 boats committed to participate which will allow us to have 21 participates.  Pastor Jon is planning to accompany us again this year.  Cost is $200 for adults   And $100 for kids.  This amount will cover lodging and most meals.

If you want a spot for the retreat please call the church office.   We will start a wait list if we have more wishing to attend than the 21 spots.   If we can get more boat owners involved – it will allow us to expand the number that can attend.  There are more cabins available where we are staying.

We will hold a Meeting this coming Monday, March 23 at 6:15 in the sanctuary to collect money, answer questions and discuss the Retreat.
